OKX CEO Star lays out a next-generation finance vision built on crypto, the internet and AI

At the OKX NOW global product and ecosystem conference in Singapore on Oct. 6, OKX founder and CEO Star said the company is evolving beyond its origins as a crypto exchange into a broader global fintech platform. In his opening speech, he argued that the convergence of the internet, crypto infrastructure and AI is reshaping financial services for a new generation of users. Star framed OKX’s long-term direction around four functions: holding money, making payments, investing across asset classes and managing wealth more intelligently. He said users should be able to choose between regulated exchange accounts and self-custody wallets, while payments should work as simply as sending a message. He also described a future in which crypto assets, stocks, commodities and other markets are accessed through a unified digital experience. He spent considerable time on trust and compliance, saying OKX has built regulated infrastructure across markets including the U.S., Europe, the UAE, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and Turkey. Star also said Deloitte has become OKX’s global auditor and described proof of reserves as a transparency mechanism that has become an industry standard. On AI, he said roughly 95% of engineering pull requests at OKX now have their primary development work completed through AI workflows, and disclosed that the company’s bill to large-model providers reached $10 million last month.

Gate security team warns users about risks tied to the FomoPeek app
